Terms of use

1. What RideAlong is

RideAlong is a personal crypto trading bot, operated by one individual, whose activity is published for anyone to inspect. It is not a fund, a broker, an exchange, an investment adviser, or a registered financial business of any kind.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any asset. No advisory relationship is created by using this site. Make your own decisions, or consult someone qualified to advise you.

3. Copy-trading uses your real money

The strategy account displayed on this site trades in simulation. If you connect a Kraken API key and enable copy-trading, the bot submits real market orders to your Kraken account using your own funds, without further confirmation from you, whenever its rules produce a signal.

You may lose some or all of your money. Cryptocurrency prices are volatile. Stop-loss levels are not guaranteed and can be exceeded during gaps or illiquidity. Past performance, whether simulated or real, does not predict future results. You accept these risks entirely and solely.

4. Custody and API keys

Your funds remain in your own Kraken account at all times. RideAlong never takes custody of your assets and cannot withdraw them. You must supply API keys limited to querying funds and creating or modifying orders. Do not enable withdrawal permissions on any key you provide here. Keys are stored encrypted and used solely to place orders mirroring the strategy.

5. No warranty, no liability

This service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. The bot may fail, stall, place wrong orders, place no orders, or behave unexpectedly. Exchanges go down. Servers go down. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, arising from your use of this site or from copy-trading.

6. No fees

RideAlong charges nothing: no subscription, no commission, no performance fee. You still pay Kraken's own trading fees on every order placed in your account.

7. Stopping

You may switch copy-trading off, delete your API keys, or stop using the site at any moment. Switching copy-trading off prevents future orders; it does not close positions already open in your account, which remain your responsibility to manage.

8. Eligibility

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and permitted to trade cryptocurrency there. It is your responsibility to comply with your local law and tax obligations.

9. Changes

These terms may change. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes to how copy-trading handles your money will be surfaced in the app, not buried here.
